We have electricity and we have running water. Both are reliable, until they are not. You never know when the electricity will go out. Last night as we sat and did our homework blackness fell over the house and the city. That gave us an opportunity to go outside and see the Milky Way and enjoy the abundance of stars. Then it was back to homework. What is more painful is when the water leaves us dry. This has happened a few times since we have moved to town. Our friends have gone over a week without water at times, but we have fortunately never been without water more than 24 hours. Ain’t nobody got time for that! We are thankful for what we have when we have it. And you can bet we never take either for granted!
Yes, we have it easy here most of the time and we take it for granted. Assume you have had the Abraham Lincoln chat.
