Where have we been?

Well, we’ve been to Yucay, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Arequipa, Mejía, back to Arequipa, Cusco, Curahuasi, the new house one thousand and four times, and school!  It has been a busy three weeks.  We took an extended family vacation (pictures to come…) and relaxed at the beach and in the beautiful big city, returned to Curahuasi on Saturday night, and started school on Monday.  The school year is going well for the kids.  They like their new teachers and they know the routine.  I praise God for their friends there and for all the things they are learning.  All four of them impress me with their willingness to try new things.  I started teaching junior high English this school year.  I only teach six hours a week, but it requires some hours of lesson planning, as there is no book and I want to do a good job.  All is well in week one.  These students really want to learn English, which makes it a joy to teach.  On top of everything, our house is finally ready (well, mostly), so we have been packing and moving this week.  Will took off work so that we could finalize this move and I am so appreciative of all the cleaning, organizing, and heavy lifting he has done.  Our Curahuasi Support Team is in full effect right now, with friends coming over to help and loaning us their truck, many calls of “how can I help?”  Our plan is to finish the move and sleep in the new house on Saturday.  Thanks to many of you for your prayers and your support from afar.  God has been good to us.  We will be blogging again soon. Blessings of peace to you.
