Morning Report

Tina gives us the history of a young man who broke his arm. After one week in a sling he went to a huesero (a person in town who helps with bones) where he probably had the fracture realigned with some pulling and pushing, then an herbal dressing was placed, followed by a very tight wrap. That tight wrap is not the greatest idea after setting a bone because there will be swelling. The brace has to leave room for the swelling or you compromise the bloodflow. And that is what happened. Tina pulled off the tight wrap, cleaned off the herbs, and underneath was black, dead, necrotic skin. I am glad we can be here to give honest, good, healthcare. Hopefully more people will come to us first with their broken bones.
