We have been hoping and praying for the Diospi Suyana School. It started this week.
We have been pleased because the kids seem unintimidated and unconcerned by having all their classes in Spanish. They tell us what their teachers have told them, and it appears that they are following everything well. David says he understands everything, but sometimes he has trouble expressing himself like he would wish. Peter thinks it is fun that he has the mayor’s son in his class. Annie’s teacher has told her she is a big help for all the American kids. Sarah, after a first day with some tears, is taking it all in stride. Of course Sarah has never attended a full day of school in America. International schools are normal for her. Allison is adjusting to teaching again. After a 12 year break from teaching, once again she is sharing her joy and wisdom with the up and coming generations. We are all getting used to this new life of school and two parents working. We are thankful for this opportunity that God has given us to serve, and we are thankful for the resource of having a good and growing school for our kids to attend.
I am so pleased for all of you. How big you all look! and happy! (even David, with his attempt to look serious). Study hard!
